My girlfriend and I spent our first two nights in Sicily at this delightful Agriturismo. It was a perferct start our holiday. The host family were extremely welcoming, the rooms tastefully decorated and the evening meals delicious (and big, very big). There is also a beautiful pool - bracing at the end of Setember, but a (very brief) swim was nonetheless a fine way to start each morning.
The location of Salemi, just outside Piazza Armerina and atop a hill with stunning views, was spot-on. Do, however, print out directions before you go - we didn't and would probably have struggled to find the place had we not phoned for directions when we arrived at Piazza Armerina.
For fear of getting carried away, I'll finish by saying the following: If you want a five star hotel experience, don't go to Agriturismo Salemi, for it is not a five star hotel. However, if you want a ten star Sicilian experience, I think you would be hard pressed to beat this place.
